has being charged with armed robbery, 1st and 2nd degree assault and other charges related to the pursuit. the stabbing victim is expected to be okay. federal investigators are now calling the alleged prostitution ring-- run by a baltimore city firefighter-- a conspiracy. and investigators say it stretched

far beyond the city limits. 11 news told you back in july when the charges were first filed... the f-b- i--raided a baltimore city warehouse and uncovered an underground prostitution ring--allegedly run by 30 year old jamar simmons. now: we're learning it went far beyond the warehouse. federal investigators are calling it a conspiracy--they say simmons and another man would transport women to at least seven other states--as far as south dakota--for sex. some of them... younger than18 years old. simmons has been indicted by a federal grand jury, he remains suspended from the department, without pay. three men are behind bars this morning, charged in a string of robberies at baltimore city and county convenience stores. investigators say the suspects robbed 2 dozen stores over the past six weeks. 11 news reporter kai reed has more. the first robbery was on december 23rd -- at this 'royal

disease control and prevention, thirty- one states are reporting widespread flu activity -- down from thirty-eight last week. activity in the southeast is declining -- but western states and those in the northeast are still experiencing a high level of flu. visits to the doctor for flu-like symptoms are above normal, but they are down considerably from earlier this year. more than half of the people who need to be hospitalized because of the flu are over age fifty. [c3]new cancer app-vo a new app for the i-phone helps cancer patients and survivors use nutrition to improve their health. dieticians at dana-farber cancer institute created the app. it provides recipes and tips for people going through cancer treatment or those who are in recovery. users can search recipes based on their specific disease type, or symptoms they're having ... like nausea or mouth sores. several studies have shown a healthy diet doesn't only lower your risk for developing cancer, it can help people stricken with the disease improve their outcome. brush.. swish and sparkle... it was a free health education event

morning about the death of the ex-cop christopher dorner. law enforcement officials now believe dorner died by his own hand. they believe dorner died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. his charred remains were found in the cabin where he made a last stand. it had been unclear if he died in the fire or from a wound suffered in a fierce shootout. overseas now to the day in court for the 'blade runner', oscar pistorius. just a few months ago, he was making history at the olympics. yesterday, he broke down in court, sobbing, as prosecutors formally charged him of premeditated murder in the death of his girlfriend. prosecutors say he shot and killed 30-year-old reeva steenkamp. the model was reportedly found with four gunshot wounds -- including one to her head -- inside the athlete's south africa home. pistorius will remain in jail until his bond hearing -- set for some time next week. state police are trying to determine if two troopers

of snow and 16 plus some on february 19th, 1979. in the range of presidents' day there have been a few big history ishg storms. this is the time of year it can happen the big nor' easters develop. we are looking for the development of a coastal storm through what is going through now. it hasn't happened yet. 36 edgewood. only clark ton 32. 31 westminster 32 frederick. you can see the change over to snow some kind of freezing rain and slippery conditions to the northwest of the city only in the 20s in western maryland right now. here's the cloud deck and here's what's left of the rain. it's not much rain or snow as you move further north into the colder air. blow offshore beginning to move offshore spinning out there during the day today and throwing moisture back at us. it may turn out to be a two-part storm what's happening this morning and what's happening later today. 46 to 41 the high.

snow showers this afternoon. cloudy and breezy northwest winds at 10-20 miles per hour. advisories for snow. the storm starts to crank up that's where the more significant snow accumulations are expected. the break in the action for a while that would begin to see more development. most of it effects the eastern shore east of the city itself baltimore. that's what the computer models are indicating right now. it will be on the edge of this thing. new england gets hit again with a piece of this storm as it develops and they don't need any more snow out there. then we are in the clear for most of the weekend. as far as how much, the more significant ams a few inches worth on the lower eastern shores the storm cranks up later this afternoon and this evening. here's the 7-day forecast.

(sirens) >> chaos is west baltimore. >> 11 news was on the ground and in the air seconds after a police pursuit ended friday after moon. >> it was really crazy. it was really wild. >> the pursuit began all of the way at the rundles mill mall. the man they raised stabbed a 36-year-old woman in the hand in a parking lot. he stole her purse and took off in an accu raw suv. a witness saw the man speed off and called police with a description of the suv. state police tried to stop him nearby on 295 northbound but he kept going for another 14 mailings. eventually snaking through the streets of baltimore city with a parade of police in tow. >> i saw the county police, the

mrar maryland state troopers sheriffs baltimore city. >> at fulton and west wood avenue he took a hard left and slammed into this building. witnesses say he bailed and ran into the alley. a state trooper stopped got out and followed him back around on to fulton avenue again where witness the say this female trooper got her man. >> lady cop was running telling him to get down. i saw people was running i ran may butt in the house. i didn't know if she was going to shoot him or not. no shots were fired but she tackled him to the ground. this morning 49-year-old man has been charged with armed robbery first and second degree assault among other charges relate to do the pursuit. the stabbing victim is expected to be okay. >> federal investigators are calling the alleged prostitution ring run by a baltimore city firefighter a conspiracy.

employees with a stun gun and pellet gun that looked like real hand guns and took off with cash. the same pattern continued at three more royal farms, 7-11's over the next six weeks. >> this is a lot of robberys in a short period of time. it is clear these suspects were not going to stop. they were going to keep doing this. >> 15 of the robberies were in baltimore city, nine in baltimore county all but two took place at night and several were on the same day within minutes of each other. customers at some of the stores say they changed their habits as detectives from baltimore county and the fbi had a joint investigation. >> only come down in the daytime. >> the suspects were eventually caught after they fled the most recent robberies last thursday february 7th at the 7-11 in
